Gothic Jewelry In Cyberspace
Gothic jewelry can be found and searched online. There are tons of websites out there and it is sure as hell fun looking and shopping around. Just be creative, be an individual, be yourself! Are you Goth? This is such a big phenomenon these days. I have to wonder where in the heck it ever originated in the first place. I mean, why did certain individuals all of the sudden decide they were going to be Goth? Don’t get me wrong now; I don’t have a problem with it or anything like that. I was simply wondering how it ever came to be. Now days it’s an identity associated with rebellion. Teenagers typically choose to be Goth as a way to resist conforming to the basic social standards. Maybe they’re always angry at their parents, or simply feel ostracized by their peers at school. Well, one thing is for sure; we have no shortage of Gothic individuals in America. Maybe that’s why you see so much gothic jewelry being sold in the shopping malls.
There is an utter plethora of gothic jewelry available in cyberspace. If you simply get on your personal computer and punch the terms “gothic jewelry” into your search engine, you will be amazed. Go ahead and try this right now. It’s fun! Okay, well I found it intriguing. Anyway, I used to live in one of the big Goth areas. Well, at least it seemed to be one of the Gothic hot spots. Back in 2001 I moved to Salem, Oregon and there were Goth teenagers roaming around all over town. It must relate back to their rainy weather. Go figure! Since there were Gothic individuals at every turn, you can imagine that there was no shortage of gothic jewelry in this town. This goes especially for all the piercings. The Gothic folks I met there in college had oodles of piercings. Actually a tad too many for my taste. But then again, I’m not Goth. They were sporting tongue barbells, which I think has been done to death. Some had the bull ring in their noses and several piercings in their ears and eyebrows. I even met one guy who said he pierced his nipples. I’m not so sure that’s a manly thing to do. Anyway, you get the point. There was plenty of gothic jewelry and piercings to go around.
Maybe you’re considering becoming a Goth. That’s cool! To each his/her own as I always say. If you’re looking to purchase some straight-up gothic jewelry, I would definitely suggest that you go with the less permanent stuff first. You want to see if Goth is a lifestyle/trend that actually suits you, before you make the full flip.
